Redcliffe Padres is blessed to have an amazing team of volunteers we affectionately refer to as the ‘red army’.

Whether it be helping with a working bee, coaching a team, scoring, umpiring or even helping in the canteen, without our volunteers, our club wouldn’t thrive like it has done. This season, we are once again asking for volunteers to fill our red army ranks! Whether you can help for just an afternoon or a full season, we’d love to hear from you.

Volunteers make the

world go round!

Our Senior Volunteers of the 2022-23 season were Katrina Wilson and David Hopkins.

Congratulations to both of you! Very Well deserved!

Katrina is the Treasurer for the club and helps with the management of the MLB Cafe. These are just two of the many hats Katrina wears at Padres!

Hoppy was our groundsman and coached numerous teams at Padres throughout the years. He lives, eats and breathes baseball. We worry about him in the off-season!

Club person of the year

Our Club Person for the 2022-23 season was Chris Coppleman.

This past season, Chris has gone above and beyond, selflessly and constantly volunteering his time to better our club!

Junior Volunteer of the 2022-23

Our Junior Volunteer of the 2022-23 season was Alexander Hancock.

Congratulations Alex! Also, a very well deserved recipient of the Petrie Shield Award.

Alex umpired all of the Intermediate League games on a Sunday during the first half of the season and umpired the Little League games on a Saturday before playing in his Senior League game. He umpired the Girls State Titles, the Intermediate League State Titles and the GBL Junior League Division 1 Grand Final.

He also worked the commentary for the Friday and Sunday A Grade games and helped with working bees.
